Unknown Dream Quest - Amnesia Bunker mod (2023)

Short, experimental, solo-developed mod made for Frictional Games' Horrors of War fan jam in 2023 September. Scoring 3rd place in the contest, the product was regarded positively by both players, and the original developers of the Amnesia game series themselves.
Moreover, the total creation time was only 1 WEEK to meet a pretty close deadline, after my first attempt exceeded the contest limits (see cut content images).

The main aspects of the mod's creation were:
- Writing a thought-provoking story that delivers the message through abstractions and environmental details on top of narration.
- Introducing familiar locations in a way previously unseen in the Rebirth/Bunker modding scene.
- Environments with some terrain complexity (which is a unique feature of HPL3 compared to HPL2)
- Deliver fairly innovative events WITHOUT custom level scripting.
- Redesign lightning and ambience to contrast established HPL3 Amnesia standards.
- Gameplay loop with (somewhat) seamless transition and integration into the lore.
